      Ajo AAF Ajo, AZ     A total of 6 auxiliary fields were constructed in this area and initially five were assigned to Ajo AAF (a sub base to Luke AAF).  When Gila Bend AAF (sub base to Luke AAF) became operational, three were assigned to it leaving three with Ajo AAF (those closest to it). During the WW2 years, Ajo AAF and Gila Bend AAF along with these auxiliaries were reassinged between Luke AAF and Williams AAF several times.   This list is as of 1945.
