Update 8/05/2008  This update has incorporated the latest information from the FAA 5010 data base and some early documents from the 1920s and 1930s.  Of interest, there were no new airfields added and 38 were closed.  Thus, a net reduction of about 10% active fields (mainly private airfields).

To see the complete World War II activities in Oklahoma, see the WW2 data base on this website.  The CAA/FAA Intermediate airfields are also contained in the CAA/FAA Intermediate data base.  The full Flight Strip data base is available under the WW2 section.  There maybe a few items not in the main Oklahoma data base that are in one of these three data bases.

This is the abridged version of the Oklahoma main data base.  All airfields are presented with earliest and latest entries along with anything that helps to understand the history of the airfield (name changes, etc.).  The unabridged version is a very large excel spreadsheet and is currently approximately 0.9MB in size with over 3,400 entries in it.  Entries can vary from a single entry for an airfield, to some that have been around for a long time may have over 30 entries.
